We recognise that for people on low income and who are claiming Housing Benefit it can be very difficult to find privately rented accommodation through high street letting agents. This page links to a number of websites where accommodation for people on low incomes might be found. There is also a section for renting with a pet.

Social Housing in Watford is access through a Choice Based Lettings Scheme whereby those who are have joined the Housing Register are assigned a priority band and can ‘bid’ for properties as they become available.
Not everyone can join the Housing Register. You will need to have a housing need and will generally have to have lived in the Watford for five out of the last six years.
