    Free initial advice on immigration matters is available from Luton Law Centre on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Lines are usually busy and you may need to try multiple times.

    Find an immigration adviser

    Immigration advice is regulated by the OISC. Only solicitors, barristers and advisers who are registered with the OISC are legally allowed to give immigration advice.

    This search will help you find OISC advisers (it does not find solicitors or barristers).

    There are three levels of immigration advice. You should check which level you need before approaching an adviser.

    Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants

    The JCWI legal team run a helpline providing timely and reliable immigration advice to those who need it most. The helpline is confidential and advice is free.

    T: 020 7553 7470.
    The helpline is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 1pm.

    Calls cost up to 13p per minute from landlines; mobiles 3p to 55p (free if you have inclusive minutes).

      Our advice line is open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

      We will help you as far as we can with publicly available information and decide on a next step which may include putting you in touch with another organisation or arranging a follow up phone appointment.
